The Spring 2010 Promoting Healthy Weight Colloquium will focus on the Bright Futures developmental stage of Infancy, but from the fathers’ perspective.  This will build upon the Fall 2009 Colloquium that investigated mothers’ experiences in relationship to infant feeding.  The Spring 2009 colloquium highlighted the issues facing infants, children, families and their communities related to healthy weight with an emphasis on physical activity, parenting, nutrition and Bright Futures

Colloquium presentations are intended for practitioners, family members, and researchers.  Registered Dietitians and Certified Health Education Specialists can receive continuing education credits.  Reserve the 4th Friday in March and September until 2013, so that you can participate in the entire Promoting Healthy Weight Colloquium series!  The series focuses on promoting healthy weight gain for infants and healthy weight for children and adults, with an emphasis on the Bright Futures’ developmental stages of infancy and early childhood, nutrition, physical activity, and parenting skills.
