Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarship deadlines:  

November 1 for incoming freshmen
February 3 for current undergraduates

Tennessee Dietetic Association

Requires membership in Knoxville District Dietetic Association and/or the Undergraduate Nutrition Student Association.

Deadline: Generally early February each year

American Dietetic Association

Requires ADA student membership (prior to January 1) and minimum junior or senior standing.

Deadline: February 15

Morrison Management Specialists
Diet SODA scholarship

Requires a 3.0 minimum GPA, a clinical focus, and registration eligibility the year following the application. This is primarily for seniors who will be entering dietetic internships during the application year and completing them the following year, so that they are ready to enter the work force. Students offered this scholarship commit to 1-3 years of employment with Morrison’s and, in return, receive $2,000, $4,000, or $6,000 for internship expenses, depending on the number of years to which they commit.
